Privacy Policy

This policy covers EvidenSend for iOS and Android, including Android test versions. Features and available delivery services differ by platform and version. You choose when to start recording and which delivery accounts and recipients to configure.

Data types processed

• Recordings: video and audio captured using the camera and microphone permissions you grant.
• Optional location: location metadata only when location permissions are enabled and you choose to include it.
• Sender and recipients: your configured sender name, email account identity, recipient email addresses, and optional SMS phone numbers.
• Delivery information: session identifiers, timestamps, file names, cloud links, queued work, and delivery status needed to send recordings and handle interrupted transfers.
• Account credentials: authorization tokens or SMTP credentials for the optional services you connect. Gmail authorization is handled by Google; EvidenSend does not ask for your Google password.

Recording and automatic delivery after you start

Recording begins through a control in the app or its widget. When you start a delivery session with sending enabled and configured, completed clips or links can be sent automatically to your selected destinations. Loop recording uses a rolling local buffer; older buffered clips may be removed as it fills.

On Android, a recording you start can continue with a recording notification while the app is in the background or the screen is locked. Pending delivery can continue or retry after recording stops or the app restarts. You can stop recording in the app. Stopping recording does not recall completed deliveries or automatically cancel pending delivery. iOS recording and background transfer are subject to iOS and device restrictions.

Optional location links on Android

On Android, Include a location link is a separate, optional setting. It is off by default, and the app requests location permission separately from email or SMS permissions. EvidenSend prepares a recent location while its screen is visible. When a new delivery session starts, it stores the available recent position with that session’s delivery information. If no recent position is ready, that session’s messages omit the map link. A map can be approximate.

The saved session location can be included in its configured email or SMS messages, including later retries. Later positions do not replace it. Turning the setting off applies to new sessions; it does not remove location already saved in pending messages or recall information already delivered. This feature does not request Android background-location permission.

Google services on Android

Gmail is optional. When you connect Gmail, EvidenSend requests permission to send email on your behalf and to identify your email address. It uses that identity to select the sender account and sends the configured recording attachments, links, and optional location information to your selected recipients. It does not request permission to read your inbox, search your mail, or delete messages.

Google Drive is optional. EvidenSend uses access limited to files used with the app (drive.file) to create recording folders, upload clips, and manage sharing links. It does not request access to all of your Drive files.

Google account data is used to provide these visible account and delivery features. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. EvidenSend's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Dropbox integration

Dropbox is optional. If used, video files are stored only in the Dropbox account you connect. Your Dropbox account settings and policies determine retention and access in Dropbox.

Uploads can include the completed clips from a delivery session you start. EvidenSend manages its recording folders and sharing links; it does not scan unrelated Dropbox content.

Email, SMS, iCloud, and shared links

SMTP email uses the mail provider you configure. On Android, optional SMS delivery uses the phone's messaging service and requires SMS permission; carrier charges may apply. Messages can contain recording links and optional location information. iOS offers its own supported sharing and iCloud options. Email providers, mobile carriers, and cloud providers process the information needed to provide their services under their own policies.

Cloud sharing can create links that anyone possessing the link can open. A shared folder link may expose multiple recordings in that folder, including recordings added later. Recipients can forward links or keep copies. Selecting named message recipients does not make an accessible cloud link exclusive to those people.

Storage and retention

Recordings and settings are stored on your device. Android retains the recipients selected for each session and delivery state across restarts so that pending work uses that session's recipients. Pending or unresolved work and its metadata can remain until delivery completes or the data is removed. Delivery status records can remain alongside local recordings; there is no universal automatic expiry for all saved recordings or settings.

Android stores saved account credentials and account identity in encrypted app preferences protected by Android Keystore. iOS uses Keychain for saved delivery credentials. This does not mean that every local video or settings file is separately encrypted by the app. Connected providers and recipient mailboxes retain their own copies under their settings and policies.

No sale of personal data and no ad tracking

EvidenSend does not sell personal data and does not use ad-tracking behavior for marketing profiles.

EvidenSend does not store video content on its own servers.

The app does not use third-party analytics services that track personal behavior.

EvidenSend does not monitor, access, or review the content you record.

How to delete data

• On-device data: stop recording and remove saved recordings using the app's available controls. Clearing Android app storage removes its private local recordings, settings, credentials, and queued delivery data. Exported copies must be removed separately.
• Connected accounts: use the available disconnect controls. Gmail disconnect removes the sender connection on this phone; it does not itself revoke Google's permission grant. To revoke Google's access, remove EvidenSend from your Google Account's third-party connections. Manage Dropbox access in Dropbox account settings.
• Cloud data and links: delete uploaded files and remove sharing permissions in your Google Drive, Dropbox, or iCloud account. Disconnecting an account or deleting a local recording does not delete its cloud copy or invalidate an existing sharing link.
• Delivered messages: delete copies in mail or message systems you control and ask recipients to delete theirs. EvidenSend cannot recall delivered messages or copies retained by recipients.
